I'm instantly fascinated by the fact that I love the music without understanding any of the lyrics! It's power pop as classical opera.

“Power pop as classical opera” better show up in their marketing materials!

Any tips on how to order this album? There's a Lulu on Bandcamp but I think it's a different band.

I think you need the accents. US distro is apparently on the way… https://allocestlulu.bandcamp.com/album/l-l

Fantastic! I also really like the French band Eggs, who might be adjacent to this scene: https://howlinbananarecords.bandcamp.com/album/crafted-achievement

Eggs are great, and their singer really reminds me of the singer of the Corn Dollies (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmZGGf8UBU8)!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm a big fan of jangly bands but living in Canada, I'd never been exposed to the Corn Dollies before. Great stuff!

I don't think they're well-known anywhere! I heard this song on a much-lamented music blog, Little Hits, literally 20 years ago now. The album it's on is really good.

I’ve really been enjoying this record! Great to hear a little more from the creators. I was aware of Flathead but looking forward to checking out the other bands mentioned.
