Love the Wishy and Chime School albums. Just picked up Tamar Berk last night and first listen was really good.
All great choices and so many to choose form here! I think you can’t go wrong with Best Bets, and Paint Fumes does excellent grungy garage pop.
I am anticipating the new Best Bets, for sure. I liked the Paint Fumes track - will investigate further.
The Paint Fumes album Real Romancer from 2023 is a great place to start. That one is poppy in a Whiffs kinda way. The older stuff is dirtier and way more garage punk.
That Tamar Beck is indeed sooooooo Cars. It could've easily been on the soundtrack of John Hughes movie. I love it.
