I wish to debunk the "Gigolo Aunts have just one classic song" theory. "Cope" is my all-time favorite of theirs, and "Mrs. Washington" is gorgeous, too. Plus, I actually prefer their cover of BMX Bandits' "Serious Drugs" (borderline blasphemy from a Norman Blake uberfan, I know)...
The best cassette I ever owned was a Lemonheads tape my buddy Palmer made for me in high school that featured It's a Shame About Ray on Side A and Come on Feel The Lemonheads on Side B. That had all the vibes and all the feels and probably clocked in at 55 minutes, if that. Pure pop perfection.
Great picks! I'm confused about the band, though. Wasn't that Wifey single from a couple months ago? Has the band changed their name since? What about the album that was supposed to come out?
Wifey has rebranded and is going under a new moniker, “Twerp”, due to some lineup changes & dissatisfaction with the album. But the full album will be re-recorded & released next year under Twerp. -Teddy
Really liked the Wifey song.
They're great! You should check out the whole album. I suspect Twerp will be very similar.
All the Wifey songs will be re-recorded and re-released under Twerp in the coming year, so yes I would say that we’ll be very similar :)

Your debunking is welcome! Opinions will always vary…
This one goes down the same path.
